The Improvising Harpist
A 3-week live workshop in crafting, developing, and performing your own improvisational themes on the harp.
Every great improviser starts somewhere — usually with a single idea. This workshop is about learning to find that idea, and knowing exactly what to do with it once you have it.
Over three live sessions, you’ll learn to craft a theme that’s genuinely yours, develop it melodically, harmonically, and rhythmically, and shape it into something you can perform with real confidence — whether that’s for yourself, an audience, or fellow musicians.

Theme crafting — creating melodic ideas that reflect your own musical identity

Melodic development — techniques to expand and evolve a theme into a full musical narrative

Harmonic enrichment — harmonizing your theme to add emotional depth

Rhythmic ingenuity — experimenting with rhythm and time signature for energy and movement

Emotional expression — connecting your theme to feeling and story

Performance confidence — the poise to share what you've created
Three live 1-hour sessions, recorded and stored permanently — the course never expires, so you can revisit it anytime.
A harp, a music stand, your phone (for recording ideas), and a notebook — that’s it.
Harpists at any skill level who want to grow their improvisational ability, plus composers and musicians looking to deepen their creative toolkit.
Find your own sound. Explore improvisation, courses, and a community of harpists.
